Newton hails from the small but friendly city, Port Elizabeth. The
three members, Wayne Simpson, David Els and Errol Mallinson, stand as
the backbone of Newton. Each of them fueling into the music waves of
creativity.
After playing a fair amount of gigs in PE, Newton relocated to Pretoria
in 2007. Spending a whole year there, redefining the music and
completing the first album, Whales and Fishbowls. Only 500 copies of
the album were printed, making it a bit of a collectors item in the not
to far future. Upon their return to Port Elizabeth a new resolve was
made to take the band to the next level. With a fairly successful
album, but much more to be learnt.
Newton sets their eyes on relocating by the end of 2008.
